The Monkey Who Did - Children's Affirmation Book

Updated: Jul 11, 2022

This one is for the kiddos out there, (well more so for the parents, to give their kids). This book, 'The Monkey Who Did' written by David Brcic, is a simple book with maybe a few big words for the age range.

Though it is a short book, a mere twelve pages, it focuses on the story of a little monkey who was told he could not climb the big tree. Due to the small size of the monkey, he really couldn't. At this point a wise fish pops out of the river to tell him about a affirmations.

The little monkey, named Danny, was being bullied by bigger monkeys. So he ran off, as one might expect a child to do, and goes to his little hiding spot. There is where a fish pops out of the water and explains that sitting there will not get him any closer to climbing that tree. (The picture below is one with removed finished touches, and removed writing).

Danny then sets up a note next to his bed as an affirmation, which is a great start for the younger generations to start with teaching themselves to train their mind into manifesting their future.

This part of working for a whole year might be a stretch, thought the author did believe that it would be a great way of showing that it takes time and effort, while nothing will come easy. The little monkey proceeds to repeat his affirmation every morning, ate good food and did his little monkey work-outs to train his body.

In the end, Danny the monkey then shows all the big monkeys that he can climb that tree. the last page, (or one of the last) is a picture of him standing on a branch up in the tree looking into the sunset. A beautiful picture, that could stand for many things of hope and other positive reactions.

Overall 'The Monkey Who Did' is a great start to teach the younger generations about being able to make your own future! Only available on kindle, and if you find yourself interested click the button below to snag your own copy!
